Black Rooster Audio and the Legend of the Mystery Folder and File

Can someone else confirm what I'm seeing? I've been trying to communicate an issue with BRA and while they have been quick to respond, it's been... a bit surreal.

Their plugin license system supposedly connects (ie. writes some files) to a specific drive. It can be a hard drive or a USB flash drive. I chose my primary hard drive, long ago. I still want it to be my primary hard drive. It's still there on my primary hard drive.

So my plugins all work. That's no problem at all.

The problem is that the plugins will also write my license details to any USB flash drive that happens to be plugged into my computer when a BRA plugin is un-loaded. It creates a folder named Black Rooster Audio. In the folder is a file named licensedata.xml.

Steps to re-create:
1. Attach a USB flash drive to your computer (I used a Kingston DataTraveler because it was on sale)
2. Start up your DAW or host of choice (I tried Reaper and Waveform)
3. Load a BRA plugin (I used GA-GT2 because rock and roll)
4. Un-load (delete) the plugin from the DAW or host (or just close the DAW or host)
5. Witness your license on the USB flash drive

Is it just me that this happens to? Is it just me that thinks this is a problem? I asked BRA to make it stop and they gave me instructions on how to make it happen by choice.
