I suppose feedback could be modeled in a specific circuit using (insert hypothetical fancy DSP algorithm that I don't know) but if you patch feedback yourself there's going to be latency in it, which affects things. It may be useful but not quite like hardware.
(The kind of feedback patching where you intentionally have a reverb or delay in it can work pretty great in software, though.)
