i found a YT Video i really liked to watch.
it helps to understand the situation.

The Audio perception threshold, Frequenzy vs. Audio-Level is the keyword here.
I think it´s key to understand that.

i think i have now a foundation to make some own tests based on creating parallel audio pathes.*
The problem i see is loooong played notes vs. more staccato/percussivly played parts.
But i see my film now.

Since my query is NOT based around doing club music tracks, but hand played instruments. The whole base of the situation is just not the same.


* More dynamic EQing,....it´s own dynamic EQing on sayed parallel path, plus eventually some transient shaping tools on top of it might be useful here. Make loooong notes appear shorter, process, make it appear even more short, just have the "hit" of the note creating more bass or "bass -mirroring" frequenzys, add that to the original signal.
Guess this has to be the thinking pattern to dive into all this. (vs. my usecases )
