Re: Sansamp emu?

Nembrini is the most accurate, imo. Unfortunately, I’ve always despised how the Bass Driver DI sounds in real life. I have no idea why people like it. The tube emulation just adds a very unpleasant high-mid distortion that really ruins anything that’s put through it.
Then maybe you're not using it right. Yes, by ITSELF it's not all that amazing BUT when blended with a mic'd cab.....that's where the magic happens. Many producers and engineers use it in this capacity. Or perhaps it's just not to your personal taste. Whatever. It would not be so highly praised in so many circles nor would Tech 21 have sold so very many of both versions if it sucked as bad as you seem to think it does. And I like Nembrini myself, but you will find many that would disagree with you on the accuracy of their emulations. Personally, unless I'm trying to re-create a specific sound, like the Yamaha 4opFM Lately Bass, I could careless how accurate an emulation is.....just as long as it doesn't sound like crap. Now granted some people really seem to like crap. I'm just not one of them......LOL!! :D :D :D
